Usopp is the son of Yasopp, snipers from pirate group Shanks. Yasopp was long gone from the village. At that time Usopp's mother was seriously ill, and Usopp comfort him by saying "pirates came, my father had come home" so his mother kept trying to live. After her mother died, Usopp kept shouting iu in the village. Villagers leave because they think there are dreams and hopes therein. All members of the Straw Hat pirates (except Luffy and Chopper), Franky Family, and Galley-La carpenter realized that it Sogeking Usopp.

Personality

Usopp is a liar (though usually lie it is useful for the crew), and perhaps inspired from the long nose Pinocchio. Although a liar, Usopp is someone who (actually want to) have a high self esteem. But if there is a battle, he fled in terror and even meet an enemy that can not be imagined (like God Enel) and finally against it.

Usopp nature of the others also he was very timid, or so he thought. In tight situations, Usopp will be more daring, especially if there are disturbing the crew. Despite its shortcomings in terms of the fight, Usopp is the bravest and hardiest among his companions.

Usopp is a person who always joke on the crew, especially with Luffy and Chopper (because another crew did not listen). He also loved to tell (lie) in Chopper as loyal listeners. He is also an artistic person that is drawing emblem flag straw hat pirates. Usopp too little admired and envied Roronoa Zoro, because he's the one who never describe the fear and resilient in any.

Usopp is an experienced marksman with cannon ship. His weapon is a slingshot and have many kinds of bullets. He can also take advantage of the circumstances to fight. Usopp also like Zoro who can still live after losing a lot of blood (as against Mr.4).

The greatest forte is running very fast. Guerrilla fighting tactics are, after the attack from a distance ran. Ammunition of the sling is very diverse, like rotten eggs, explosives, smoke bombs and bullets normally, pachinko (iron balls used for gambling).
